Our Services
Sensory
Integration
Children and young
adults with Sensory Processing Disorders (SPD's)
typically have difficulty understanding their environment and how to
interact in it. Our therapists are trained in Sensory Integration
Theory and Treatment. Therapists can assist children and their families
in identifying areas of difficulty and help set functional goals to
improve their performance.
Physical Therapy
Pediatric Physical
Therapy helps to improve the relationship between a
child's unique abilities and his or her environment through direct and
indirect means. The PT works with the child and the family/caregivers
to alleviate impairments that constrain function, to prevent secondary
impairments, and to develop functional skills that are within the
child's capacity.
Occupational
Therapy
Occupational Therapists
develop a unique environment in which children
learn to explore and expand their abilities and skills, as well as
understand their surroundings. The Therapists work closely with the
families, caregivers, educators and health care professionals in
providing educational resources and consultation.
Speech/Language
Therapy
The Speech/Language
Pathologists (SLP's) at CNS serve children of all
ages with communication and feeding disorders. Parents are encouraged
to participate in the evaluation and treatment planning process. Once a
diagnosis is made and a treatment plan is developed, parents and
caregivers are provided with concrete suggestions to help them utilize
therapy techniques at home. |
